MARY FRANCAVILLA

Learner | Achiever | Connectedness| Self-Assurance | Activator

Mary is living her passion! Mary has a passion for helping others achieve personal success and happiness. She was in higher education for 23 years where she served in various student support service roles. Over the course of her career she mentored hundreds of students as scholarship recipients, in admissions counseling, and anyone in need of direction and support. She realized she had developed a ‘knack’ for providing guidance to students, colleagues and friends. She appreciates that each person is unique and the individual spirit is what both guides and drives her.

Many years ago, she discovered CliftonStrengths® and it spoke to her. Why focus on weaknesses when strengths are such an excellent opportunity for discovery and growth? It’s what she had been doing all along and now she had a tool to focus that positive energy. She attended several trainings and utilized this for her mentoring role. She developed many strong college student teams with CliftonStrengths® and has presented at several national conferences on topics such as: Developing a College Mentoring Program, Developing Students for National Scholarships in College, and Utilizing a Strengths Perspective for Developing a Student Ambassador Program.

While pondering her next career, students, friends and family encouraged her to become a coach. What a perfect fit!

Mary now coaches strengths to individuals, partners and teams. She is currently working with small businesses on developing strong partnerships and teams. She coaches young adults entering the professional work environment, entrepreneurs, those seeking self-awareness, and anyone interested in the Strengths culture. She also coaches college students on their journey into and through college.  She finds it to be pure joy.

Mary’s family and friends provide her foundation. She has been married to retired Army Colonel David Francavilla for 35 years, has three amazing daughters, two fantastic son-in-laws, and three adorable grandchildren. She enjoys spending a lot of time with them, and encouraging them to live their strengths. Mary is physically very active and is blessed to be able to live a healthy lifestyle. She loves movies and books of any type, is a news geek, loves to learn about any and everything, and meet any and every one!

"Mary was such an influential person in my college experience. It is obvious that she has a strong passion and love for her students. She was a solid mentor throughout my time at the University of Colorado Denver. I don't know what I would have done without her support and knowledge."
